Eleanor: Week One in Photos

Week one with our precious little 8lb 13oz snuggler.  08.24.15 7:38am

No Spend September

This past month I’ve spent ALOT. Between a new baby, a new season, and an actual job that makes me feel like I’ve got all the money in the world there’s been an abundance of encouragement to spend away. I get on Facebook on the daily and am bombarded by all these BST groups I am a member of. My wall is constantly plastered with all these adorable baby clothes/shoes And I find it hard to resist buying something for my now 2 daughters. The money adds up quickly.

So, I’ve decided to make a pact with myself not to spend any money on anything for a whole month. Nothing but groceries and other absolute necessities! This month will instead be focused on making things to sell with what I already have, paying off bills, and saving any money I have left over.

I love a challenge and am totally up for this one. Let’s see how long I can last. ๐Ÿ˜

Penelope Adelle- 8 Months Old

Man, time is flying by! It’s hard to believe it’s been eight months already?! Seems like my little baby was only little for a few weeks, now she’s closer to a toddler. Only a few more months and i will have a one year old on my hands, AH!

p.s. I still tend to fall behind at least a month. ah well no 7 month photos. I will try harder next time!

Penelope’s 5-6 Month Milestones

My oh my, my baby sure has developed such a personality these past two months. I love seeing her grow up and form as a person and create her own identity already. She’s constantly smiling and clapping and waving at everyone. She’s adorable!

She loves to stand up, always has to be standing or at very least sitting up. She can stand up by herself when holding onto something, but she needs to work on her balance a little more.

Baby, as we tend to call her, is growing up so fast! I can’t wait to see where she’ll go in life.

This is the one thing that I spent the majority of what little pregnacy energy I had doing…

Oh, you should have seen the room before I got to it. When we moved in the walls were black and orange from cigarette smoke and there were magic marker marks all over the walls. The base board was cake with smoke residue. So nasty.

But I got down there and scrubbed the base boards and painted all the walls and ceiling. Ha, Eric sure thought it was crazy for putting so much effort into a room that the baby “won’t even remember’, but itโ€™s something I felt like I had to do, and I was excited to do it.

My sister made Miss Penelope the ‘P’ hanging on the wall and I made some tissue paper pompom flowers to go with it. She also bought me some gold butterflies which I spray painted silver to match the rooms silver, purple, and white color scheme.

The arrow wall was the most time consuming and difficult process of it all. I had to figure out how to make a stencil and then try to space all the arrows properly. At first I was going to do the whole wall with the arrow pattern, but I soon changed my mind, realizing that would definitely be more work than it was worth. I kind of preferred it just half a wall anyways. The arrows may be imperfect, be I like them that way. I think it makes them look more real and hand done kind of like they have extra love in them. ;]

I painted a few art pieces for the baby, I figured they were one thing that she could take with her when we moved and maybe even keep them till she’s grown..

Here’s the rest!
